BUSINESS IN AUSTRALIA
You need to apply for a Business Visa if you want to travel to Australia for business meetings, conventions, conferences or a short-term project requiring a high level of skill.
A SHORT STAY BUSINESS VISA allows you to stay in Australia for up to 3 months.
A LONG STAY BUSINESS VISA allows you to stay in Australia for 3 months to 4 years.
SHORT STAY BUSINESS VISA - up to 3 months
Citizens of the following countries may apply for a Business ETA (Electronic Travel Authority) at our office:
Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong (SAR), Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom (British Citizen), United Kingdom (British National Overseas), USA, Vatican City.
There are 2 types of ETA. The Business (short validity) ETA is valid for entry to Australia for 12 months. The Business (long validity) ETA is valid for entry to Australia for the life of your passport.

NON ETA NATIONALS

You should apply for your visa at least 3 months prior to your proposed travel date. You should not make travel commitments until after your visa has been approved by the Australian Immigration authorities and your passport returned to you.
LONG STAY BUSINESS VISA - 3 months to 4 years
To obtain a Long Stay Business visa your Australian or overseas employer is required to acquire sponsorship status and nominate your position from a list of gazetted occupations.
